Destination Marketing

Post pandemic, Whidbey and Camano Islands Tourism shifted its efforts to a more regenerative approach. The islands’ nature, character and communities became a priority. A new marketing campaign was needed to convey and promote that message.

In developing the “Keep it real” campaign, we were able to create a call to action benefitting both locals and visitors.

Being authentic and true to oneself, as well as maintaining what is special and unique about these islands are both ways to keep it real.

The marketing team’s new regenerative approach, rebranding and Keep it real campaign was The Destination Marketing Association of the West’s 2023 Best New Idea award, as well as State of Washington Tourism’s 2023 Destination Stewardship award.

Whidbey and Camano Islands were also accredited by the Transformational Travel Council as a Transformative place.
